Performance level and labeling: Labeling and labeling: Labeling and labeling are two completely different concepts. Marking is a concise language (including text and numbers) used to provide a highly summarized description of a product (including product name, size specifications, performance level, surface treatment, etc.), usually used in document materials to describe the product. The logo is the symbol printed on the product and the identification printed on the packaging (including the performance level symbol and the manufacturer or seller's code). So there are essential differences between them.
In SAE J429 standard, product performance levels are marked with Arabic numerals.
There is no corresponding relationship between numbers and product strength levels like in 1SO898, only that the larger the number, the higher the strength. The numbers after decimals also have no special meaning.
Performance levels: SAE J429 specifies nine performance levels: 1, 2, 4, 5, 5.1, 5.2, 8, 8.1, and 8.2. (Level 5.2 was abolished in 2002).
