1. Performance characteristics
-Corrosion resistance
-316LVV stainless steel belongs to the 316L series and has excellent corrosion resistance. It contains molybdenum (Mo) element, which can effectively resist pitting and crevice corrosion caused by chloride ions (Cl ⁻) in some highly corrosive environments, such as marine environments, chemical environments, etc. Compared to ordinary stainless steel, its corrosion resistance is more outstanding. For example, in a medium containing a certain concentration of saltwater, the passivation film formed on the surface of 316LVV stainless steel is more stable and can prevent the corrosive medium from further corroding the metal substrate.
-Mechanical performance
-316LVV stainless steel has good strength and toughness. Its yield strength is generally around 200-220MPa, and its tensile strength is about 520-550MPa, which can withstand certain external forces without deformation or fracture. At the same time, its elongation is relatively high, which makes it have good plasticity during the processing and forming process, such as cold rolling (cold rolling, cold drawing, etc.) or hot working (forging, hot rolling, etc.), and it will not easily have defects such as cracks.
-Welding performance
-This stainless steel has good welding performance. During the welding process, its heat affected zone (HAZ) is relatively small, making it less prone to defects such as welding cracks and porosity. This is because its chemical composition design is reasonable, which can ensure good compatibility between the weld metal and the base metal during the welding process, making the performance of the welded joint similar to that of the base metal, ensuring the integrity and reliability of the entire structure.
-Temperature resistance performance
-316LVV stainless steel can be used over a wide temperature range. It can maintain a certain strength and stability in high temperature environments, and its continuous use temperature can generally reach around 400-800 ℃, depending on the usage conditions and environment.
