The 9Cr18MoV (S44044/SUS440C/1.4125) hex bolt is a high-quality Chinese stainless steel 440B, containing 0.9% carbon and 18% chromium. High hardness, i.e. 58-60 HRC, and excellent corrosion resistance make this steel an ideal choice for surgical blades, stainless steel knives, and tableware.
Compared with other blade steels, high carbon steel and sufficient chromium, vanadium, and molybdenum addition make the edges of this steel better preserved. In addition to edge retention and durability, this steel also has high corrosion resistance. Common applications include blades, surgical blades, tableware, and other items.

Silicon Si: ≤ 0.80
Manganese Mn: ≤ 0.80

Nickel Ni: allowed to contain ≤ 0.60
Vanadium V: 0.07-0.12
Molybdenum Mo: 1.00-1.30

9Cr18MoV highly rust resistant
Stainless steel is commonly used in outdoor applications where there is a high chance of corrosion and rusting. For hunter knives, the main tool used is stainless steel. Stainless steel can prevent any oxidation corrosion caused by chromium, nickel, and molybdenum layers.
Usually, if the chromium content is higher than 11.1%, stainless steel is considered stainless steel. In 9Cr18MoV stainless steel, the percentage of chromium is 18%, which is sufficient to give the tool anti rust performance.
9Cr18MoV Heat Treatment Process
1) Annealing, slow cooling at 800-920 ℃;
2) Quenching, oil cooling at 1050-1075 ℃;
3) Tempering, air cooling at 100-200 ℃.
9Cr18MoV/S44003 bolt/nut application scope:
Mainly used in stainless steel slicing, mechanical cutting tools and shearing tools, surgical blades, high wear-resistant equipment parts, etc.
