Monel400 (N04400/2.4360) alloy is an early nickel based corrosion-resistant alloy used in industry. It has good comprehensive properties and a wide range of applications. Due to its excellent corrosion resistance, it has become an indispensable alloy. Its chemical composition is mainly composed of Ni, 30% Cu, and a small amount of Fe (1% -2%).
On this basis, multiple grades were produced, but there was no significant difference in corrosion resistance between them. The names of brand names vary from country to country,
N04400/No4400 National brand names: 68Ni28Cu28Fe for China, N04400/No4400 for the United States, ASTM B127, ASME-127, AMS 4554, JIS NW4400 for Japan, and 2.4360 for DIN for Germany, DIN1743， NiCu30Fe for English, EG1 for NTR, and A286 for NA13incoloy.

Carbon C: ≤ 0.3,
NiNi: 63~67,
Aluminum AL: ≤ 0.50,
Iron Fe ≤ 2.5,
Manganese Mn: ≤ 1.50,
Silicon Si: ≤ 1.00,
Phosphorus P: ≤ 0.015,
Sulfur Si: ≤ 0.020,
Copper Cu: ≤ 0.75.
Monel400 (N04400/2.4360) alloy has different hardness specifications. The hardness of bars with hot working less than 54mm is 110-149HB, while that of bars with hot working greater than 54mm is 140-241HB. The hardness of hot-rolled medium and thick plates is 125-215HB. The annealed state of thin plates is less than 73HRB, and the cold-rolled state is greater than 93HRB. The tensile properties (RM/MPa) of this alloy are as follows: bar 590, cold-rolled state 789, cold drawn state 775, annealed state 480, semi hard state 520, and fully hard state 808. Yield strength (MPAa): annealed state 398, semi hard state 673, fully hard state 1111.
