Dual phase stainless steel S32205/F60 bolts consist of approximately half ferrite and half austenite in their solid solution structure. Dual phase steel is obtained by critical zone heat treatment or controlled rolling of low carbon steel or low-alloy high-strength steel.
The typical yield strength of duplex steel is 310MPa, and the tensile strength is 655MPa. The characteristics are as follows:
1. During cold working, the work hardening effect is greater than that of 18-8 austenitic stainless steel. In the initial stage of deformation of the tube and plate, a larger stress needs to be applied before deformation can occur;
2. Compared with austenitic stainless steel, it has a higher thermal conductivity and a lower coefficient of linear expansion;
3. Not suitable for working conditions above 300 ° C. The lower the chromium content in duplex stainless steel, the less harmful the brittle phases such as σ are;
4. Generally, preheating is not required before welding, and heat treatment is not required after welding.
