Compared to rivets and welding, bolt joints have a much higher degree of control in the on-site construction environment, with no heating process and no problem of uncontrolled heat treatment. The components and bolts are both produced in a factory environment, with appropriate product commonality, and can be tightened on site.
Pressure bearing joints are similar to rivets, but bolt strength and quality stability are better than rivets. The conflict type connection is not quite the same, and there is also a somewhat tricky issue in on-site construction - conflict force control. The conflict force is affected by the contact surface pressure and surface roughness, but now shear and torque bolts, torque wrenches, and surface treatment processes can handle this problem.
One end of the shear bolt is a round head similar to a rivet, without any edges or corners. When tightening the bolt, it passes through a spline (also known as a plum blossom head) on the other end, and there is a shortened neck between the spline and the bolt. When the torque generated by the conflict force between the component and the bolt reaches the torsional limit of the neck, the spline is twisted off. A torque wrench can adjust the maximum output torque, and once reached, it will slip. When used to tighten large hexagonal bolts, it can achieve a similar effect as shear bolts.

The surface treatment can be carried out in the factory, and after sandblasting, on-site polishing or coating with anti rust paint may be sufficient. In this way, the conflict coefficient is still relatively stable after treatment.
By using conflict type connection, the transmission of force between components is achieved through conflict forces, so the connection function is fundamentally equivalent to the components themselves, which is most in line with the planning concept, ensuring strength, stiffness, and fatigue function.
